Finally a new post!

Well school is over and I finally have time to breath. Olivia is 4 months old. She is a much happier baby now. We switched her to a different formula and she is completely different. She smiles and laughs and is content to just play. I feel bad that it took so long for us to figure out what to do. She does have reflux but I think that is under control with the medicine and new formula. She is such a pretty baby. She growls and likes to squeal really loud. Darrick says she sounds like a pig being slaughtered. Isn't he a nice Daddy. She is getting so big and just melts our hearts. Grandma (Oba) says she looks like a pixie. Grandpa (Oji) calls her little muffin. Auntie Lezlie still babystits a lot. We don't know what we would do without her. We love and appreciate her so much. Livvy is rolling over and gets to eat cereal now. She is really good rolling from her back to her front but can't seem to get back to her back. Thats a little backward isn't it. Whenever she is completely naked she hurries and rolls over and sticks her butt in the air. She wiggles her left leg like she is trying to crawl. She is in too much of a hurry to get around. Darrick is doing good. He loves being a Daddy and is often found on the floor rolling around with Livvy. I am still working at the Child and Family Support Center as an intern. I have recently started taking on my own clients. That is exciting and nerve-racking. I can't wait until I am officially a therapist. That is my title now, but I still feel like just an intern. I love school and although it was hard, I made it. Now I'm just waiting for my grades. Here is a slideshow of the pictures I have taken over the semester. Some of them are really old. I also took some videos but I havn't figured out how to load them on my computer yet. I will try to keep up to date until school starts again in January. But I'm not making any promises.

Rolling Over Already?

Today I was having tummy time at Oba's. I started fussing and got so mad I flipped myself right over onto my back. Mommy couldn't believe it, she just looked at me in shock. We called Auntie Lezlie and she says it doesn't count because Mommy helped, but she didn't. So yes it does count and I am the smartest, strongest, fussiest baby ever!!!!!

One Month Old!

Well Mommy has survived one whole month. I am exactly one month today. Yesterday Mommy came out to visit Oba and Oji. Mommy begged Oba to watch me while Mommy got some sleep because I was a stinker the night before and woke up every 30-45-60 minutes. Mommy got 4 whole hours of sleep before Oba had to wake her up to feed me because silly Mommy being sleep deprived forgot to bring some formula. We decided to sleep at Oba's and Oji's so Daddy could get some real sleep too. We haven't talked to him yet today but I am sure he is one happy Daddy. While Mommy is writing this I am sleeping on Oji's stomach getting spoiled. Mommy took a picture of both of us sleeping and will try to post it tonight with Daddy's help. Just a little update: Mommy starts school tomorrow and is not looking forward to being away from me. She is on the verge of tears when she thinks about it, but is comforted knowing that Auntie Lezlie will be watching me. We moved downstairs in the apartment and are getting settled in. I finally have a real nursery and Oba and Oji bought me a dresser and Oji fixed it up and brought it yesterday. Its really pretty and has a mirror. Mommy can finally set everything up and make it look really cute and girly. I am doing better for the most part but still get fussy at night and I still spit up all over the place. I try to aim for Mommy's cleavage and usually hit the bulls eye each time I decide to projectile. I have not pooped on Mommy recently and she is pretty happy. Mommy is going to take me to the Doctor to see if I have acid reflux. Mommy is worried about it. Oji said I didn't spit up more than any other baby so I decided to show him and spit up all over him about 10 times, he had to change his clothes. :) Teach him not to listen to Mommy. Well I am starting to wake up to eat and Mommy needs to prepare for the Step Family Class she has been thrown into teaching for her internship. I like to scream right as Mommy starts to read the lesson. Maybe Oji will keep me asleep so Mommy can prepare. We will see. It might take Mommy a long time to post considering she will be crazy with school, internship, and trying to take care of me. We will try to get pictures up tonight. (I know we keep saying that)

Spoke too soon!

The last time I posted I talked about what a good little baby Olivia is. Well I spoke too soon. She had recently started being fussy, especially right after she eats, she spits up by the gallon, wakes up early from her nap, still poops all over us, and keeps Mommy and Daddy up late at night. We still love our little munchkin but I wish I knew why she is fussy when she eats and why she spits up so much. She acts like she has a tummy ache and wants to keep eating even after she spits up a ton. At night she is almost unconsolable and she cried from 1 Am to 5 AM this morning. Hopefully we will get back on track before school starts so we will all get some more sleep. In my last post I also said I would try to post more pictures. Well Olivia decided she did not want to cooperate with Mommy and sleep while I tried to figure it out. I am so not technologically savvy. We also had to hurry and leave because they are doing construction on our apartment and I needed to get Olivia away from the saw dust and fumes. We just found out that we will be moving into the finished apartment this weekend so I doubt I will get any posting done for a while. I might need to wait for Darrick to help me download the pictures onto the computer. It never works when I do it and it is like magic when he does. So if they get on here today, then that means I figured it out, if not I will have to wait for Darrick. School is getting closer and I am getting more nervous. We are worried about me not working and being able to afford for us to pay all of our bills while I am in school. I hope things work out. I'm sure they will but for now that is definitely on my mind. I better submit this before she wakes up and prevents me from doing anything else. She is so cute when she is sleeping and not screaming, spitting up, or pooping on me. :) She is currently snoring and sounds like she is growling. Too cute!

Finally an Update!

Ok, I know I have slacked off. But I think having a baby is a good excuse. First of all thanks to my sister Lezlie for hacking into my account and posting for me while I was in the hospital. Thanks to her there are actually pics of my little angel. Well the laundry is done, dishes washed, bed made, baby and hubby fed, and Olivia is asleep in my arm so I am typing this one handed. Olivia is doing very well. She smiles a lot, hardly ever cries, sleeps good, and has Mommy and Daddy wrapped around her little finger. She did have jaundice and we had to get her little feet poked 5 times and I hated it. But it has gone down so no more poking, woohoo! She loves to play with her tongue and hold daddys fingers. I call her my little perana because of how funny she is when she is nursing. It almost scares me, she looks so furouscious. She also is a projectile pooper. She has gotten Mommy, Daddy, Ogi (Grandpa Skinner), and pooped all over Auntie Lezlie's pretty dress when she was baby sitting. All we have to do is lift up her legs and she shoots. Then she smiles. She does keep us up at night when she gets the hiccups but for the most part she is an angel. I will attempt to put pictures on before she wakes up again. A little update on the rest of life. I start my Masters on August 25th. It doesn't sound so fun now that Olivia is here. I don't want to leave her. But i'm sure things will go just fine. There might be some tears and whining on my part but hey I'm a new Mom. I will be doing my internship at the Child and Family Support Center. I am very excited about it. Thats all for now. I will try to be better at updating this and at taking more pictures. Darrick and I don't take very many, but we will get better.

She is 7 lbs 15 oz and 20 inches long. I will try and get a good picture at the hospital tomorrow to post for everyone to see. (I hope you are not mad that I hacked in, Jackie Ü)

Anniversary

Pyzam Glitter Text Maker

Darrick and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary yesterday. We went out to breakfast for some crepes that I have been craving. After that I went out to moms and made cards with my sisters and nieces. I got really sick being 9 months pregnant and all. I finally made it home and Darrick had to help put me in bed. He went and rented a movie and we watched it while I was sick on the couch. Then we both went to bed. It was such and exciting anniversary :). Hopefully next year will be better and I won't be pregnant or sick.

Baby Shower!

I hope this turns out right. It's my first attempt at making a slide show. The baby shower was a lot of fun. I didn't get some of my friends in the pictures so I will have to post them when I get them. Baby Olivia will really love all the gifts. Thanks so much to all my wonderful friends who came and gave us such great gifts. You guys are awesome!

I passed my Social Worker State Licensure Test. I am now a licensed Social Worker. I can now have cards printed up that say Jaclyn Andersen SSW! Now I just need a real job.

I'm still learning

Okay, so I am still having a hard time figuring this out. I will have to see if I can get caught up on what has been going on. I went to the Doctor and she said she would induce me on the 24th of July. I had to update my counter and managed to get that done. She said I am 50% efaced and barely dialated to a one. I am very uncomfortable and ready to have her come. I had a baby shower and I will attempt to put a slideshow on of the pictures.
